At one point in the second half of Game 3 against defending champion Ginebra, TNT head coach Nash Racela was practically begging for officials to whistle for a foul in their favor.
After another heated game against a corporate rival, TNT head coach Nash Racela is once again taking the "diplomatic" way in dealing with the officiating.
Taking an emotional 103-106 loss from defending champion Ginebra in Game 3 of the Governors' Cup semifinals, Racela offered his thoughts on the officiating crew that worked the contest.
"Obviously, it was a perfectly-officiated ball game," he said sarcastically.
"They made the right decisions, I think. I don't really question that," Racela added.
Coach Nash may say it one way but those who watched the ball game will obviously disagree.
Racela and basically the entire TNT squad were in active discussions with game officials all game long.
At one point in the second half, coach Nash was practically begging for officials to whistle for a foul in their favor.
More often than now, he got none.
Still, Racela still ave praise to referees, as he always does nowadays.
"You can't really question the obvious. The refs did their part, did their best, in calling the game. I think all the calls were really nice," he said.
