Slaughter is Ginebra's biggest upgrade for The Rematch
Greg Slaughter, all seven feet of him, might be the difference in The Rematch.
Technically, Greg Slaugher is already a PBA champion.
However, after dealing with countless injuries that robbed him of too many opportunities with Ginebra, Slaughter is finally seeing action for his first-ever PBA Finals series as the Gin Kings defend their Governors' Cup title against the Meralco Bolts.
"I'm really excited not only because I'm coming back, but also because it's my first time [in the Finals] in the PBA," Slaughter said.
"It's awesome. All of us were on board and we won last year, that felt great. Hopefully we can repeat it this year because we want it so bad," he added.
With Meralco upgrading its roster in hopes of taking revenge on Ginebra, Slaughter's return is almost an upgrade in itself as well on the part of the Gin Kings.
And Greg, all seven feet of him, might be the difference in The Rematch.
"We'll see, we'll see when it comes to play," he said.
"Winning is the No. 1 priority. My focus really is to win this championship my first conference back with my team," Slaugher added.
