"But if given the chance to be chosen by NLEX, I'd like to give them a turnaround in whatever way I can to help the team be better." --- Kiefer Ravena.
It's about time Kiefer Ravena finally plays in the PBA and regardless what team the Phenom ends up with, he says he's going to give his best.
However, a player like Kiefer's caliber is not going to drop on any draft boards and the only mystery surrounding him is whether or not he ends up no. 1 or no. 2.
If that's the case, Kiefer's first PBA team is only between the Kia Picanto, barring any shocking trades, or the NLEX Road Warriors.
With Christian Standhardinger also included in this year's Draft, many are looking at Ravena landing with the Road Warriors to play with head coach Yeng Guiao.
The Phenom already has some big plans with NLEX.
"They weren't able to get that good start last year [and they ended up] having the number two pick," Kiefer says, noting the Road Warriors' terrible start under the Yeng Guiao era before rallying to make the playoffs in the season-ending Governors' Cup.
"But if given the chance to be chosen by NLEX, I'd like to give them a turnaround in whatever way I can to help the team be better," he added.
Sure, the Kiefer to NLEX thing is not sure yet as of right now so Ravena is taking everything in stride.
Regardless of what team, NLEX or another one, the Phenom is giving his best to start his long-awaited pro career.
"We have to be professional at this stage, and be ready to whatever team picks you. I know for a fact that I will do my best and contribute right away to whatever team picks me," Ravena said.
"Well ako rin di ko rin alam kung anong ie-expect. Pero I know it's gonna be hard, it's gonna be difficult but I'll be prepared," he added.
