With Game 7 of The Rematch on the horizon, Fafa Rey is determined to make this one count.
Veteran forward Reynel Hugnatan, who has been a sort of revelation for Meralco in the 2017 Governors' Cup Finals against Ginebra, understands that chances like winning a championship come few and far between.
That's why with Game 7 of The Rematch on the horizon, Fafa Rey is determined to make this one count.
Moreso for him since he's not exactly getting any younger.
"Syempre tumatanda na tayo, di natin alam kailan pa ulit magfa-Finals ang Meralco, so kumbaga may chance kami makuha 'to. Sana," the 38-year-old said.
Hugnatan is definitely doing his part in helping the Bolts fight for this championship.
In Game 6, with Meralco trailing 2-3 in the series, Hugnatan fired 24 points built around six triples as the Bolts forced a deciding Game 7.
And with one final game to decide a title, Hugnatan wants to help Meralco earn its first PBA championship in franchise history.
"Di lang sa'kin, pati yung sa Meralco kasi kung makuha namin first time ng franchise 'to," he said.
"Nalampasan namin 'to [2-3 deficit], so ngayon maganda na yung posisyon namin, may chance pa kami manalo ng Finals," Hugnatan added.
