Can LA Tenorio and the Gin Kings retain their title after The Rematch? Or will Meralco finally get its revenge?
The Rematch is down to one final game.
Defending champion Brgy. Ginebra and no. 1 contender Meralco have fought to a stalemate after six games in the 2017 PBA Governors' Cup Finals, paving the way to the two best words in all of sports:
Tied at three games each, the Gin Kings and the Bolts meet for the last time this season and after Friday at the imposing Philippine Arena, one will return to Metro Manila as the Governors' Cup Champions.
In the case of Ginebra, a victory means that the barangay will celebrate back-to-back titles, asserting their mastery over the Bolts, the team they beat for the same championship last year.
In the case of Meralco, a victory means revenge and the team, who made its entry in the PBA seven years ago, will finally raise its first championship.
Game time will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the massive INC-owned facility in Bulacan.
