2017 title feels just as sweet as 2016 says Brownlee

Justin Brownlee now has two titles with Ginebra in three conferences.
BOCAUE, BULACAN --- No "The Shot" this time around but Brgy. Ginebra's latest PBA championship feels just as sweet for import Justin Brownlee.
Picking up a huge Game 7 win at the Philippine Arena here, the Gin Kings now have two Governors' Cup Finals wins over Meralco.
And this one is just as special as last year because Ginebra had to fight off a furious rally by the Bolts at the end of The Rematch.
"Words can’t describe it you know, it was definitely fun and challenging, very hard. I tip my hat to Meralco man, they’re a tough team, they battled with everything they had to the last second," Brownlee said.
"I was just wow. Man, I gotta be honest I got a little nervous. The team stayed together, focused, we were able to make key stops at the end to win," he added, talking about Meralco's rally.
The Bolts erased a 20-poimt, second-haf deficit to come to as close to four points late in the fourth period. Ginebra only ended up winning by five points.
Despite the tense moments in the clincher for the second year in a row, Brownlee is relieved that the Gin Kings still managed to come out on top.
He'll take the win regardless of how the finish went down.
"Still feels just as good. Just winning period," he said, comparing Game 7 this year to Game 6 from last year when he hit "The Shot."
"Coach Tim, going into the game, told us not to win by 20 points, just to move in and go into the game and get a one-point lead," he added.
