Jeron happy to find new family at Alaska
Hearing his name called for the Draft was a dream come true for Jeron, and landing at Alaska, he feels like he's being welcomed into family.

Let's just get this out of the way, Jeron Teng dropped in the 2017 PBA Draft.

Expected to be a top-3 selection, the former La Salle star heard four names called ahead of him before he finally landed at Alaska as the fifth overall selection.

Jeron dropped that's for sure but him dropping to fifth might work for him and the Aces.

Also, it's not like Teng was overly concerned about his final number in the Draft. He just wanted to make it to the league like his father and brother before him.

And now that he's here, Jeron is ready to go.

"I'm up for the challenge naman pero alam ko na syempre PBA level na 'to. I have to start from zero," Teng said upon joining an Alaska team that has high standards but went through some tough times in the past PBA season.

Hearing his name called for the Draft was a dream come true for Jeron, and landing at Alaska, he feels like he's being welcomed into family.

And Teng is the type not to let his family down.

"Lahat nagsasabi sa akin na in Alaska, they treat all the players as family. I'm very happy na maging part ako ng family ng Alaska," he said.

"Syempre mag-start ako sa pinakababa and I have to work for my minutes. If I have to, then I'll do it, I'll work hard even more. Gusto ko talaga i-prove sa sarili ko dito sa PBA and that's what I'll do. I'll put more work into it," he added.
