University of Sto. Tomas is continuing its march back to legitimate contention, now making its way into the semifinals of the 2017 Milcu Got Skills Elite Basketball Tournament.

Kobe Palencia starred anew for the Tiger Cubs with 16 points as they powered through DCYSO, 68-52, last Saturday at the Lyceum Gym in Intramuros, Manila.

Palencia, a recruit who opened eyes playing for Eastern Visayas in the 2016 Palarong Pambansa, also collected two rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks.

UST will now move on to the Under-17 semifinals to face off with second-seeded and twice-to-beat De La Salle Zobel (DLSZ).

Meanwhile, in the Under-19 tournament, NU is into the Finals after edging out Team Delta, 59-58.

The Bullpupos made it happen behind Kevin Quiambao’s 15-point, 8-rebound, and 2-block effort.

They will now await the winner between FEU-Diliman and DLSZ.
