Gilas Pilipinas stops NLEX in latest tune-up game
The Philippine national team scored its second straight tune-up win this week, beating the NLEX Road Warriors, 95-87, Saturday morning at the Meralco Gym.

SMART-Gilas Pilipinas is starting to gain traction in its rushed preparation for the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

The Philippine national team scored its second straight tune-up win this week, beating the NLEX Road Warriors, 95-87, Saturday morning at the Meralco Gym.

This is nice follow up to Gilas' 96-75 victory over Rain or Shine last Thursday after a three-day camp in Tagaytay.

The win over the Road Warriors also comes one week after Gilas lost to the ABL's Alab Pilipinas in another tune-up that managed draw the ire of head coach Chot Reyes.

Gilas will leave for Tokyo early next week to face Japan on November 24 in Group B action of the first window of the Asian Qualifers.

Three days later on November 27, Gilas Pilipinas will host Taipei at the Araneta Coliseum.
