No lineup changes for Gilas Pilipinas for now.
The 12 players that suited up for the Philippines against Japan Friday to start the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers will be the same ones that will play Monday as the national team defends home court against Taipei.
Jayson Castro, who was sensational in Gilas' opening win against Japan in Tokyo, will once again lead the Philippines together with naturalized center Andray Blatche.
Matthew Wright, Gabe Norwood, June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, RR Pogoy, Kiefer Ravena, Allein Maliksi, Calvin Abueva, Kevin Alas, and Troy Rosario complete head coach Chot Reyes' crew.
"The team that will play against Chinese Taipei is the same that played versus Japan," team manager Butch Antonio said.
"We're upbeat. Players and coaches know we still have things to work on. Players accept the fact that this is a long, hard journey. It will not be easy," he added.
As for Taipei, the team will also field the same lineup that played, and lost, against Australia.
Tip off between Gilas and Taipei will be 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Big Dome.
