Chinese Taipei is not a new foe, we regularly see them everytime Gilas Pilipinas joins the Jones Cup.

In fact, the national team takes on two Taipei teams there.

The Philippines almost all the time takes two wins as well.

Still, the fact remains that Taipei is not a new foe, and familiriaty sometimes ends up being a formidable opponent.
