Romeo has finally addressed the proposed trade reports that surfaced a couple of weeks back, basically denying everything especially the fact that it was supposedly him that requested a change of scenery.

Aside from denying such rumors, the now three-time PBA Scoring champion also took the time to let everyone know just how much he wants to stay at Globalport.

While he's currently on the mend dealing with a knee injury, Romeo reiterated that his focus right now is to make the Batang Pier true PBA contenders.

In all his seasons in the pro league so far, Romeo has only led Globalport to the semifinals once where they ended up losing to the Alaska Aces, 1-4, back in the 2015 Philippine Cup.

The goal is the semifinals first and then they'll start thinking about possibly winning a title.

"Yun na talaga gusto namin. Kasi kahit papaano awa ng Diyos, sa maagang edad nakuha ko na yung mga award na gusto ko except yung pinaka dream award ko na individual which is mahirap dahil hindi pa kami gaanong nakakapasok ng semis or Finals," Romeo said.

"Goal ko muna is team award.
