Rain or Shine just gave NLEX a taste of its own medicine.

The Elasto Painters used a third-quarter surge to stop the Road Warriors, 96-89, Tuesday at the Upper Deck Gym in Ortigas, scoring back-to-back wins in PBA preseason play.

Down by as many as 15 points, ROS dropped a 38-19 bomb in the third period to take control of the game, nice follow up to their overtime win over Phoenix just a day prior.

Don Trollano fired 20 points off the bench to lead the Painters while Maverick Ahanmisi scored 16.

Ed Daquioag and Chris Tiu added 11 apiece for ROS.

The Road Warriors, who used a third-quarter surge themselves to beat Alaska yesterday, dropped to 1-1 after only scoring 28 points in the second half.

Rabeh Al-Hussain once again led the team in scoring with 16 points and 10 rebounds while rookie Kiefer Ravena added 14 points, four rebounds, five assists. However, the Phenom also committed six turnovers.
