The Batang Pier erased a 17-point deficit to score an 83-80 win over the Magnolia Hotshots Thursday at the Claret School Gym as PBA preseason play continues.

Puso, pride, and palaban is in full effect at Globalport.

The Batang Pier erased a 17-point deficit to score an 83-80 win over the Magnolia Hotshots Thursday at the Claret School Gym as PBA preseason play continues.

After a terrible first half, Globalport turned the corner in the second to stun the Hotshots and start its preparations for the Philippine Cup without star point guard Terrence Romeo.

Stanley Pringle was the high man for Global with 18 points while Ryan Arana added 16 markers.

The returning Kelly Nabong added 14 points for the Batang Pier.

For the Hotshots, Aldrech Ramos led the way with 15 points while Mark Barroca and Ian Sanggalang each had 14.

GlobalPort (83) - Pringle 18, Araña 16, Nabong 14, Sargent 9, Grey 8, Guinto 6, Elorde 4, Flores 4, Cahilig 2, Juico 2, Gabayni 0.

Magnolia (80) - Ramos 15, Barroca 14, Sangalang 14, Pascual 6, Dela Rosa 5, Herndon 5, Gamalinda 5, Simon 4, Brondial 4, Abundo 3, Melton 3, Pingris 2.
