Coming soon: Christian Standhardinger to San Miguel Beer.

For now, San Miguel head coach Leo Austria will stick with his old reliables to start the 43rd season of the PBA.

You know, his old reliables that won five of the last nine PBA conference championships.

But coach Leo openly admits that he's excited to welcome Fil-German forward Christian Standhardinger to the fold. The Beermen's no. 1 overall pick is tearing it up in the Asean Basketball League for defending champion Hong Kong Eastern, avering over 25 points so far.

Austria is paying close attention of course.

"Oo I'm so excited with him pero hanggang doon lang," Austria said on Standhardinger.

"Di namin dapat isipin na sana nasa amin sya. We’ll keep on relying on ourselves and the team. I'm sure itong mga players alam na may chance pa kasi sila mismo nagsasabing kaya natin ito. What more pag andyan na si Standhardinger," he added.

Austria is not only paying attention to Standhardinger's performance but he's also paying attention to what people are saying regarding the potential of a Beermen squad in full force.

And the reigning three-time PBA coach of the year is not gonna lie, he's excited to get it going.

"Lahat ng nakakapaood ng game nya, sinasabi na we'll really be unbeatable pag andito na sya," he said.

"It gives us some excitement and confidence. Alam natin ang kanyang work ethic and it could rub off to some of our players," Austria added.
