PBA Season 43 preview: The Superpowers
In this final preview, we breakdown the PBA superpowers. Superpowers in the sense that their respective line ups are well... super.

Forget the PBA impasse for a second. Seriously, forget it.

Why?

There are basketball games to be played.

That's right, the PBA will push through with the opening of the 43rd season as originally scheduled and before we start what appears to be another long, exciting, stressful (for the good reasons, of course), and eventful year of basketball, let's look at all 12 teams first.

In this final preview, we breakdown the PBA superpowers. Superpowers in the sense that their respective line ups are well... super. Special thanks to Alaska's coach Alex Compton for this idea.

Okay here we go.

San Miguel Beermen

PBA Season 42 results:

Philippine Cup - Champion

Commissioner's Cup - Champion

Governors' Cup - Quarterfinals

PBA Season 43 opening day line up:

Brian Heruela
Billy Mamaril
Von Pessumal
Alex Cabagnot
Chris Ross
Marcio Lassiter
June Mar Fajardo
Louie Vigil
Matt Rosser
Keith Agovida
Chico Lanete
Michael Mabulac
Arwind Santos
David Semerad
Yancy De Ocampo

Injured/Reserve: Gabby Espinas

Head coach: Leo Austria

This is a team that won two champioships last season and five of the league's last nine titles.

Until the Beermen's current core breaks up, San Miguel will always be a title threat.

Christian Standhardinger will miss the Philippine Cup and yet the flagship SMC franchise remain as heavy favorite.

Now imagine if the Fil-German finally comes to play here. Oh my goodness.

Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel

PBA Season 42 results:

Philippine Cup - Finals

Commissioner's Cup - Semifinals

Governors' Cup - Champion

PBA Season 43 opening day line up:

Paolo Taha
Jett Manuel
Sol Mercado
LA Tenorio
Scottie Thompson
Kevin Ferrer
Jammer Jamito
Greg Slaughter
Art dela Cruz
Raymond Aguilar
Japeth Aguilar
Jervy Cruz
Aljon Mariano
Joe Devance
Mark Caguioa

Head coach: Tim Cone

The other champion from last season, Ginebra is the one, line up wise, that can match up well with the Beermen.

Unlike San Miguel, Ginebra already has its twin tower combination on deck.

The Gin Kings' guard rotation is a strong as anybody in the league. Oh, and they are coached by the greatest mentor in PBA history.

Kangkong jokes sure died a slow death.
