"We’re just really happy for each other. Sana magtuloy tuloy yung mga blessings, di naman mawawala yung challenges sana ma-overcome namin together." --- Alyssa Valdez on Kiefer Ravena.

BOCAUE, Bulacan --- As if he needed any more motivation, Kiefer Ravena had a boost on Christmas as his entire family was on deck to watch him play his second PBA game at the Philippine Arena here.

Girlfriend Alyssa Valdez was also there to watch, taking a literal one-day vacation to watch Kiefer play.

Valdez landed in Manila on Christmas eve and will return to Taipei on December 26th as her Attack Line team is still seeing action in the Chinese-Taipei Volleyball League.

"First time ko dito," Valdez started, talking about the imposing INC-own facility.

"First time ko manood ng game ni Kief din and it’s so nice to be back to spend Christmas here in the Philippines," she added.

For his part, Kiefer didn't disappoint his loved ones as the number 2 overall pick of this year's Draft fired a team-high 20 points to lead the Road Warriors to their second win in as many games so far.

Ravena also drilled the dagger three for NLEX and slammed his first career dunk in the PBA.

All of that made Alyssa a very happy girlfriend of course.

"We’re all proud of Kiefer naman talaga. He’s really working hard to be consistent sa pinapakita niya sa PBA so ayun, very focused naman talaga si Kief sa kung  ano yung gusto niya so we’re just gonna be here to support him sa dream niya sa PBA," Valdez said.

"Alam ko matagal na niyang hinihintay makapaglaro sa PBA so we’re just really happy. Di ko rin napanood cause I was in Taiwan. He did well so talagang everyone got excited sa papakita niya sa upcoming games niya and sa PBA career niya," she added.

Philippine sports' most famous power couple may be apart during the holidays but Alyssa is not one to complain.

Valdez knows that she and Kiefer are both doing their thing and that's okay.

"As of now, we’re really focusing sa both careers namin. Kiefer is really doing a good job, sana ako, marami parin akong matutunan sa mga countries na pupuntahan ko," she said.

"We’re just really happy for each other. Sana magtuloy tuloy yung mga blessings, di naman mawawala yung challenges sana ma-overcome namin together," Alyssa said.
