Anthony insists he's not looking to score
In two games, albeit both losses, Anthony is averaging 24 points including a 29-point explosion against Brgy. Ginebra on Sunday.

With Globalport still missing star scorer Terrence Romeo, the Batang Pier found a replacement in Sean Anthony so far in the Philippine Cup.

In two games, albeit both losses, Anthony is averaging 24 points including a 29-point explosion against Brgy. Ginebra on Sunday.

Still, despite him backing up Stanley Pringle quite nicely, Anthony says he's really not looking to score.

Really? Really.

"Not looking to really score. I'm trying to do the right play for the team," the versatile forward said.

"They [Ginebra] went under screens, they didn't show on some screens, so I just took open shots. I'm just taking what the team gives," he added.

Still, with Romeo still on the mend with a knee injury and Global badly needing a win following an 0-2 start, Anthony is ready to put up points if needed to.

But it's only about making the right basketball play for him, in the end.

"We'll see. If they give me opportunities and Stanley [Pringle] creates... just making the right basketball play, and we'll see," Anthony said.
