"Marami pang laro, we just played two playoff teams in NLEX and Ginebra." --- Pido Jarencio.
Despite stumbling out of the gate on the 2018 Philippine Cup, Pido Jarencio is not in panic mode yet.
After all, Globalport's schedule was a tough one to start anyway.
"Positive tayo, mahaba pa yan," Jarencio said following the Batang Pier's 97-104 defeat at the hands of Ginebra Sunday.
"Marami pang laro, we just played two playoff teams in NLEX and Ginebra," he added.
However, in order to join those playoff teams in the postseason, the Batang Pier will need to beat strong teams.
To do that, they need to finish games properly.
Against NLEX last Christmas, Globalport's comeback bid came up short and against Ginebra, the Batang Pier blew a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter.
"Basta maging consistent lang kami," Jarencio said.
"We [should] play consistent basketball not just 45 minutes but 48 minutes," he added.
