Ping after getting stitches on busted lip: Medyo pogi pa rin
Ping's lip was busted after an accidental collision with the Picanto's Jackson Corpuz early in the opening period.

Five minutes into the Kia game Wednesday, veteran Magnolia forward Marc Pingris' face was already a bloody mess.

Ping's lip was busted after an accidental collision with the Picanto's Jackson Corpuz early in the opening period.

His face was covered in blood as he remained on the court for a while before he went to the locker room to get stitches.

He managed to return later in the game, finishing with six points and four rebounds in 21 minutes of action.

"Part naman ng game yun eh, di naman natin maiiwasan yung ganyan," he said on the incident.

"Pero pasalamat naman ako kay Lord na butas lang naman. Okay lang, basta ako, part lang ng game yun di naman sinasadya eh," Pingris added.

While he ultimately has no problem with Corpuz over the hit, Ping does have a problem with what to eat now.

It doesn't look like it but his busted lip hurts bad he says.

"Kanina pagkaligo ko nung nalagyan ng tubig [masakit]. Hanggang ngayon dumudugo pa rin, kasi butas eh. Mas malaki yung sugat sa loob, ewan ko kung ilang tahi yun," Pingris said.

"Hindi ko alam kung ano na naman ang kakainin ko ngayon," he added.

In the end, all is good for Pingris despite a bad start to his game against the Picanto.

First of all, the Hotshots won by 47 points. Second of all, his teeth are still intact.

"Mangga ata, manggang hilaw. Mas masarap dito sa sugat di ba? I'm so thankful naman kay Lord na ganito lang, hindi natanggal yung ngipin ganun," he said.

"Medyo pogi pa rin," Pingris added.
