The present and future of the Magnolia frontline is Ian Sangalang.

Now more than ever, the former NCAA MVP from San Sebastian is starting to show his real worth with the Hotshots.

Against Kia, Sangalang finished with a cool 29 points and nine rebounds in just 25 minutes. He had 25 points and 11 rebounds against Ginebra last Christmas and posted 13 points on top of nine boards to start the season.

Veteran forward Marc Pingris is definitely taking notice on Ian's fine play so far.

So much so that he's ready to proclaim that Magnolia will be in good hands once he finally retires from basketball, whenever that is.

"Si Ian Sangalang talaga sobrang step up every game.

Another star teammate is seeing Sangalang's fast development.

Paul Lee says that his big man's improving game is no surprise, considering Sangalang's work ethic in training.

"Kaya maganda yung kinakalabasan ng game niya," he added.
