Justin Brownlee’s teams have gone 0-2 in the last three days
The last three days have not been kind to Justin Brownlee.
Last Wednesday, he and Alab Pilipinas were at the wrong end of a slight upset at the hands of Singapore.
Two days later, Ginebra’s resident import was there to watch his team also be at the wrong end of an upset at the hands of upstart Blackwater.
Post-game, Brownlee could only laugh at his misfortune in the last three days. “Hopefully, I can get some sleep tonight,” he kidded.
Turning serious, he told reporters, “Hopefully, Alab can get back on track in our next game.”
They try to do just that on Sunday when they travel to Bangkok, Thailand and take on league returnee Mono Vampire. “We’re just gonna go there and play hard and fight back to .500. I think that’s the main goal right now,” he said.
As for Ginebra, the American reinforcement said they just didn’t have it tonight while conversely, the Elite had it all. “It was just one of those games. You know, some games, there’s great energy, you play great, and everything’s going well,” he said.
He then continued, “Tonight, unfortunately, the guys just didn’t seem to have a good night. I don’t think it was our night tonight.”
The Gin Kings get their chance at a bounce back up against Alaska on January 21 – and best believe that their resident import will most probably be there to watch.
By then, all of Brownlee, Alab, and Ginebra are only hoping the personal losing streak comes to an end.
