Coming off their first loss in the 2017-2018 Asean Basketball League, Christian Standhardinger and Hong Kong were nothing but determined to get back on track.
They did just that on Thursday at the Souhorn Stadium in Hong Kong, waking up Formosa from dreaming of an upset, 99-79.
The Filipino-German again proved to be a force with a team-high 25 points, but it was reigning and defending World MVP Marcus Elliott who showed the home team the way back onto the win column.
Elliott was all over the court and collected 19 points, 11 assists, and 11 rebounds for his second triple-double of the season.
With him fronting the charge, the Dreamers just had no chance from start to finish.
The rout is much welcome for Hong Kong which was downed for the very first time in the season more than a week ago by Saigon.
Now at 8-1, they continue to pace the tournament.
The exact opposite goes for Formosa which fell for the eighth time in nine games.
Lenny Daniel led them in the losing effort with 19 points.
