Things got heated early in the fourth quarter after Von Pessumal was called for a flagrant foul penalty 1 for shoving Kiefer Ravena to the floor.
In an interesting turn of events, former teammates and suppossedly good friends Kiefer Ravena and Von Pessumal got into it a little bit Friday during San Miguel and NLEX's matchup in the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup.
Things got heated early in the fourth quarter after Pessumal was called for a flagrant foul penalty 1 for shoving Kiefer to the floor.
It's unclear what Kiefer did to trigger Von but the push definitely happened.
Pessumal also basically offered nothing to clear the situation.
"It's part of the game. It's part of the game," Pessumal said post-game.
Pressed for answers, Pessumal declined again, questioning why the entire thing is a big deal in the first place.
"I don't wanna say anything, I'm sorry. It's part of the game. Whatever, move on. Not a big deal," the second-year guard said.
"It's part of the game, I don't see any reason why it's a big deal. It's part of the game," he added.
Asked if there was trash talked involved and if his history with Kiefer offered any factors, Pessumal declined to give anything again.
He also says he didn't talk to Kiefer after the game was over.
"I wouldn't say anything. I don't know, after the game? I'm a professional basketball player, I'm not here to make any friends," Pessumal said.
