Kia keeping its problems internal from now on
Whether its questioning roster moves or just criticizing in-game decisions, much has been said about the Picanto and their problems.

A lot of people like to talk about Kia about everything.

Whether its questioning roster moves or just criticizing in-game decisions, much has been said about the Picanto and their problems.

Well, Kia is on top now for once after the Picanto picked up a gutsy 98-94 win over Rain or Shine Saturday, snapping a record 16-game losing skid dating back to last season.

This victory masks some of Kia's woes but it doesn't eliminate them all yet.

And after a very public humiliation starting with the controversial trade for the no. 1 pick of last year's draft that ended up being Christian Standhardinger, Kia would like to keep its problems within themselves for now.

They know what they are, they would just rather not talk about them.

"I'm sorry but those things are internal to us, we would rather keep things internally as a family, we rather not speak about it in public," head coach Ricky Dandan said following Kia's breakthrough win.

"But ano ah basketball was not our problem, it's in us. So we identified that. I showed them the Magnolia third quarter and the Alaska third quarter and they all saw it. They saw what happened but I also told them that this is not about technicalities, it isn't about basketball," he added.

By now, it's common knowledge that Kiais noy a perfect team. Far from it.

The Picanto will not argue but it doesn't wom that their quest for winning and relevance stops.

"They accepted the weaknesses and like I mentioned in the previous interview we do have a lot of weaknesses and we will time to strengthen them," Dandan said.

"But they accepted all of these problems and they knew how to solve it. It was really solvable amongst us, di kailangan ng external motivation for that, it was really among us, nasa samin," he added.
