Guiao is fined P11,000 for obscene gesture, use of profane language, and engaging in a verbal altercation while Ross is P2,600 poorer thanks to the two technical fouls he received.
NLEX head coach Yeng Guiao and San Miguel point guard Chris Ross have been fined by the PBA for their altercation during their game in the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup last week.
Near the end of the Beermen's win over the Road Warriors at the Cuneta Astrodome, Guiao and Ross got into a heated shouting match in front of the NLEX bench.
The whole incident was allegedly triggered by coach Yeng's racist remark towards Ross.
However, in a statement from OIC Willie Marcial released by the PBA Monday, the league failed to establish any racist remark from Guiao.
The fiery NLEX mentor denied such allegations post-game while Ross declined to give any interviews to he media after the San Miguel win last Jan. 19.
Still Guiao is fined P11,000 for an obscene gesture, use of profane language, and engaging in a verbal altercation while Ross is P2,600 poorer thanks to the two technical fouls he received.
