Filipino-American Sedrick Barefield's team-high 17 points led the University of Utah Runnin' Utes to another close shave over fellow Fil-Am Remy Martin and the #21 Arizona St. Sun Devils in overtime, 80-77, at the Arizona State University Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe.
Barefield wrote the final sentence of the game as he nailed a clutch free throw that put the Utes ahead by three, with 3.0 seconds left in overtime.
However, the guard missed his second, which left an opportunity for Arizona State to tie but Sun Devil Trae Holder missed the game-tying heave as time expired.

Barefield finished the game with 17 markers, including a perfect four out of four clip from downtown, along with two rebounds and two assists.
The six-footer Martin, who is part of the Gilas Pilipinas pool for the 2023 FIBA World Cup, meanwhile ended up with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Martin's teammate Holder was the game's top scorer with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
Utah ties the season series with Arizona St., with the Sun Devils escaping the previous match-up with an 80-77 win in Utah.
The unranked Utes' locker room was in pandemonium after taking down the 21st ranked college team in the United States.
