Grey downplays career-high outing against former team
Jonathan Grey, Meralco's 7th pick of the 2016 regular draft, chose to score his career-high against his former team, leading his new squad, Globalport, to a convincing 107-88 victory.

Kelly Nabong wasn't the only former Bolt to stun Meralco Sunday in the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup.

Jonathan Grey, Meralco's 7th pick of the 2016 regular draft, chose to score his career-high against his former team, leading his new squad, Globalport, to a convincing 107-88 victory.

"Nothing personal. Siguro nagkakataon lang na everytume na kalaban ko former team ko, yun, sinuswerte," Grey said on his 24 points against Meralco.

He scored 13 in the third where the Batang Pier really pounded on the Bolts.

Backing up Stanley Pringlie as Terrence Romeo continues to be on the shelf due to injury, Grey is only trying to make the most of his opportunities.

A career-high outing certainly helps with his confidence moving forward.

"Sobrang thankful ako, laging andyan sina Coach Pido at yung management, talagang binibigay nila yung confidence sakin," Grey said.

"Struggle ako nung start eh. Pero yung tiwala nila, nandiyan pa rin," he added.
