Abueva finally shows up to Gilas practice
Calvin Abueva finally made his first appearance to Gilas practice this year.

A week after being dropped from the Gilas pool for the February games of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers, Calvin Abueva was present in the national team practice Monday at the Meralco Gym in Ortigas.

Head coach Chot Reyes dropped Calvin, as well as Raymond Almazan, for the second window of the Qualifiers for missing the team's first three practices this year.

With Gilas meeting for the fourth time in 2018, the Beast finally made his presence.

However, it remains a mystery if Abueva will be re-inserted back into the lineup for now.

Just last Saturday, Calvin excused himself from Alaska's Philippine Cup game against Blackwater due to a "family emergency."

Also back in practice after missing last week were Matthew Wright and Allein Maliksi. However, as of press time, Almazan is still nowhere to be found.
