As of now, Beau Belga's heart is still with Rain or Shine.
Whether Belga wants to be traded or not, he is putting up numbers that may see him get traded for players of value, tallying a double-double performance of 13 points and 13 rebounds against Meralco, Friday evening.
Despite the earlier report of Spin.ph's Snow Badua, which bared that Elasto Painters Belga, Raymond Almazan, and Jericho Cruz want out of the team due to differences with coach Caloy Garcia, the big man says that he is solely focused on the team right now as a debt of gratitude for giving him a livelihood.
"Ako, I'm with Rain or Shine as of now, kasi I need to play, sila yung mga boss and ang nagbibigay sa akin and sa family ko. Kung gusto nila ako mawala, wala akong magagawa. But now, I have to stay with Rain or Shine to play well para sa kanila," Belga said after the game.
Earlier, Garcia ackowledged Badua's report, and added that he talked with the three and just wanted them to be professional about the situation, humming the exact tune as Belga would say about half an hour after the post-game presser.
"Well we all know going into this game na may lumabas na isyu regarding those three players but sabi ko nga sa kanila we just have to be professional about it and put the effort because ang nagbabayad naman talaga sa salary nila is yung owners and that's the only way that we can repay them."
As for Rain or Shine's first win streak this season, the veteran big man stressed the team's need to win to straight, and end their alternating win-loss record in the previous six games.
"Siguro kailangan namin ang panalo eh. Pag natalo kami, babagsak kami sa ilalim, so siguro yung willingness namin na maglaro today, talagang gusto namin yun. Kasi ayaw namin bumagsak sa kangkungan."
