"At least nawala na malas" -- Cyrus Baguio on big NLEX win
"Malaking tulong yung panalo namin ngayon, at least nawala na yung malas," --- Cyrus Baguio.
If we were to believe Cyrus Baguio, then the Ginebra game Saturday in the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup was his first good performance since getting traded to NLEX last season.
If that were true, then Cyrus picked the perfect timing to submit his first good performance for the Road Warriors.
The veteran combo guard was key for NLEX in scoring a come-from-behind win over Ginebra, scoring 11 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter as the Road Warriors snapped a four-game slide in the All-Filipino.
Taking a close win over the Barangay, Baguio hopes that NLEX can regain its confidence and start its march to the playoffs.
With teams bunched up in the middle of the standings, games like these can turn out to be major turning points down the road, after all.
"Malaking tulong yung panalo namin ngayon, at least nawala na yung malas," he said.
Pinaka-importante, one game at a time lang dahil dikit-dikit yung standings," Baguio added.
