The wins just keep coming for Alab Pilipinas – even away from the standings.
The Filipinos got two more reasons to celebrate to go along with their five-game win run as Ray Parks Jr. was recognized as the top local while Renaldo Balkman was hailed as the best World Import for the week of January 30 to February 5.
Parks Jr. turned in his best game of the season with 32 points in the Philippines’ big-time victory versus Chinese team Chong Son and then followed that up with a 16-point, four-assist effort in a win over Singapore.
Balkman’s best outing in blue, red, and white came against the Slingers as he 21 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals, and one block. Before that, he contributed 20 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists along with a whole lot of defense to the tune of six blocks and three steals to help his team in toppling Kung Fu.
The week’s best players and the league’s hottest team hope to keep it going as they welcome Thailand’s Mono Vampire to the Baliwag Star Arena in Bulacan later in the day.
