Jeron vows comeback after first PBA loss to Kiefer
"It brings back the goold old days, yung La Salle-Ateneo rivalry namin," Teng said Sunday after Ravena's NLEX Road Warriors got the better of his Aces.

The first Kiefer Ravena-Jeron Teng matchup in the PBA wasn't necessarily an epic personal showdown between the two collegiate rivals.

But still, even in the pros, the two young stars will remain the same.

Kiefer and Jeron will remain rivals.

"It brings back the goold old days, yung La Salle-Ateneo rivalry namin," Teng said Sunday after Ravena's NLEX Road Warriors got the better of his Aces.

"Kahit wala na kami sa college, I think never na mawawala yung pagiging Lasalista ko at pagka-Atenista niya," he added.

Both players scored 12 points for their respective teams in their first pro game against each other.

However, Kiefer played five more minutes and won the rebounding battle (six to three) as well as the assist game (10 to 1).

Also, one particular play highlighted their first meeting in the PBA.

Late in the first half, Jeron was going up for an easy layup when Kiefer met him at the basket, with the Phenom eventually making the big block for a nice defensive play.

"Kailangan lang namin makabawi next time," Jeron said about that block.

Hopefully, we don't have to wait for the next conference for the next Alaska-NLEX game.
