Andray Blatche leads Gilas' first closed-door practice of 2018

Led by naturalized center Andray Blatche, who arrived in the country Friday night, the Philippine national basketall team went to work as they prepare for the Boomers on Feb. 22.
Ten days before the Philippines challenges Australia in the first round of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers, Gilas Pilipinas finally started its closed-door daily training sessions Monday at Greenhills.
Led by naturalized center Andray Blatche, who arrived in the country Friday night, the national team went to work as they prepare for the Boomers on Feb. 22.
Solo Group B lead will be at stake in that titanic showdown in Melbourne.
Joining Blatche for his first full practice with Gilas this year is team captain Gabe Norwood.
Also in attendance were Jayson Castro, June Mar Fajardo, Calvin Abueva, Matthew Wright, RR Pogoy, Kiefer Ravena, Kevin Alas, Jio Jalalon, Carl Bryan Cruz, and Abu Tratter from the #23for23 pool.
Japeth Aguilar didn't participate in drills but was in attendance as well.
