Dandan after another bad Kia loss: We just gave up
Against Blackwater Friday, Kia was competitive in the first half, only to break down in the third quarter that ultimately ended with a disastrous second half and yet another lopsided defeat.

Kia's unconventional Philippine Cup is nearing its end, however, the same old story haunts the Picanto.

Against Blackwater Friday, Kia was competitive in the first half, only to break down in the third quarter that ultimately ended with a disastrous second half and yet another lopsided defeat.

There's no other reason for the Picanto's loss to the Elite other than the team giving up says head coach Ricky Dandan.

"We gave up. We just gave up," Dandan said following a 76-95 decision.

"I told them they gave up. Wala namang iba. Yun lang ang rason dun. Even if we are out of the playoffs, we talked about ending this conference on a good note. We were in there, but we gave up," he added.

Kia is only counting games before moving on to the Commissioner's Cup.

And after another lost campaign, the franchise will have some serious work to do before being actually competitive again.

"Tapusin muna natin to. Dalawang laro pa eh," Dandan said.

"And we'll sit down with management after this and talk about what to do in the next conference," he added.
