The time is now for Blackwater to make PH Cup breakthrough
The Elite first took down three-time defending champion San Miguel Beer and followed that up with a convincing beating of Kia. All of that sets up a crucial showdown against NLEX at the Philippine Arena in two days.

Last season, Blackwater failed to punch its own ticket to the Philippine Cup playoffs and had to go through a one-game knockout for 8th place.

The Elite lost.

This season, Blackwater has another chance of punching its own ticket to the All-Filipino quarterfinals and this time around, they're looking at not wasting another golden opportunity.

At 4-5 with two games to go, the Elite can afford to not worry about other team's results. They can win  and make the playoffs outright.

That's the plan.

"I think our chances are great. We hold our own destiny if we take care of business," Mike Digregorio said.

For the past week, Blackwater has been doing just that.

The Elite first took down three-time defending champion San Miguel Beer and followed that up with a convincing beating of Kia. All of that sets up a crucial showdown against NLEX at the Philippine Arena in two days.

"The job's not done," Digregorio said, who finished with 21 points against the Picanto.

"We take care of the next two games then there won't be any problem. It's not like we're waiting for somebody else to lose, our fate is in our hands. We take care of business, we have a great chance," he added.
