The Road Warriors' 6-4 record is more than enough to advance in the All-Filipino, now its just a matter of final positioning with one game to go.

BOCAUE, Bulacan --- NLEX is through to the next round of the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup.

The Road Warriors secured their spot in the quarterfinals Sunday at the Philippine Cup here, beating Blackwater in a thriller, 93-90.

Behind the combined efforts of its talented backcourt, NLEX erased an 11-point deficit to win a fourth straight game.

The Road Warriors' 6-4 record is more than enough to advance in the All-Filipino, now its just a matter of final positioning with one game to go.

"Another hard game, wala kaming panalong madali," head coach Yeng Guiao said.

"Our last four wins were grind out wins, and this is no exception. Blackwater is getting better, I talked to the guys [before the game], pahihirapan nila tayo and it was," he added.

True enough, the Elite were all over the Road Warriors in the opening half, opening up a 40-29 lead in the second quarter.

Blackwater maintained a nine-point lead through the third before Kevin Alas saved NLEX in the fourth period.

Alas made his first five shots in the final period for 14 points, sparking the Road Warriors' comeback. He finished the period with 16 points and 25 for the game, a new PBA career-high.

Alas also added eight rebounds and five assists for good measure.

After Alas, only Kiefer Ravena finished in double figures for NLEX, dropping 23 points, 13 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Blackwater dropped to 10th place after a loss with its 4-6 record.

The Elite got 16 points from Mike Digregorio but the sweet-shooting point guard  never got the ball in Blackwater's final possession. JP Erram and rookie Raymar Jose added 14 points apiece for the Ever Bilena franchise.
