Muntinlupa handed Quezon City its first loss in the tournament.
Muntinlupa put Quezon City’s four-game winning run to a screeching halt after a mid-fourth quarter scoring barrage to carve out a convincing 103-87 win Tuesday night in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Anta Rajah Cup at their home turf Muntinlupa Sports Complex.
Pari Llagas poured in 21 points to lead five other Cagers in double figures as Muntinlupa tied its victim with 4-1 win-loss slates at second to third spots behind unbeaten Batangas (4-0).

Muntinlupa broke open a tight 84-82 match with a telling 19-5 run with Jaime, Moralde, Mangahas and Apreku doing most of the damage.
Jomar Santos had 16 points while Jay Collado scored 15 markers and 11 rebounds for the Capitals.
Meanwhile, Bataan snapped a four-game slump as the Defenders barged in the win column at the expense of listless Imus Bandera, 91-87.
Al Carlos finished with 22 points while ex-pro Gary David got 20 markers, six rebounds and five assists for the Defenders, who tied Caloocan with 1-4 mark.
