Gilas Pilipinas' greatest challenge in its road to the 2019 FIBA World Cup is here.

The Philippines will kick off the second window of the Asian Qualifiers Thursday in Melbourne as the national team takes on Australia in Group B play.

Both countries enter with identical 2-0 records so the showdown at the Margaret Court Arena will be for solo lead at the halfway point of the first round.

The Boomers, champions of the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup, will parade a mostly intact lineup led by Mitch Creek and Daniel Kickert.

Meanwhile, Jayson Castro is out for Gilas Pilipinas due to injury but the Philippines still has Andray Blatche and June Mar Fajardo on deck.

Tip off for this highly-anticipated matchup will be at 4:30 p.m. (PHL time).
