With Kia looking to score an unconventional win, Super Marcio came just in time to save the day for the San Miguel Beermen.
In the latest display of his clutch-ness, Lassiter scored five straight points for San Miguel in the final minute, pushing the Beermen to a league-best 8-2 record.
Marcio first drilled a corner triple to tie things up at 106 with 48 seconds to go before completing an alley-oop for the win in the final 1.8 seconds.
"You know I just try and stay at the moment during the game-tying three and the last shot," Lassiter said after finishing with 22 points.
His last five points were the only points he scored in the fourth quarter.
"Just being in the moment and just being ready if the ball comes to me, just being ready to shoot and that's what happened," he added.
Marcio was certainly ready for the final play when Chris Ross launched the pass for the game-winning alley-oop.
Both players didn't practice that play before.
"We don't practice that. It's just more [reads]," he said.
"Good thing we have chemistry. I'm just glad that he [Ross] was able to make that pass and I was able to convert it," Lassiter added.
