KaTropa fight for playoff life vs. surging NLEX
Since the flagship MVP franchise came to power, the All-Filipino Conference has been the team's bread and butter, however, the KaTropa have struggled this year, stumbling to a 4-6 record after three straight defeats.

TNT is in unfamiliar territory as the KaTropa fight for their playoff lives Wednesday in the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup.

Since the flagship MVP franchise came to power, the All-Filipino Conference has been the team's bread and butter, however, the KaTropa have struggled this year, stumbling to a 4-6 record after three straight defeats.

Another loss means an early exit for them, a first in the Philippine Cup in a very, very long time.

As such, TNT has one final shot to not get outright eliminated, taking on NLEX in the 4:30 p.m. game at the MOA Arena.

At 6-4 and armed with a four-game winning run, the Road Warriors are through to the quarterfinals but coach Yeng Guiao's crew would for sure love to have a shot at a top-3 finish.

In the second game, Rain or Shine looks to finally advance in the playoffs as the Elasto Painters challenge San Miguel Beer, the reigning three-time champions.

The Elasto Painters have three chances to advance and they already blew the first one by losing to Alaska last week. This is ROS second attempt at advancing.

San Miguel is number one regardless of the result.

A rematch from the quarterfinals last year, ROS (5-4) and SMB (8-2) will tip off at 7:00 p.m.
