ROS got its sixth win against four defeats to make the quarterfinals for a fourth straight conference. The Elasto Painters wrap up their schedule Friday to determine their final placing.

For San Miguel, the loss didn't do much as the champs were going to be number one in the playoffs either way. The Beermen tie Magnolia with the best record at 8-3 but the flagship SMC franchise hold the tiebreaker.

"At least now we're assured of a playoff spot," head coach Caloy Garcia said.

"But of course what we want to achieve is to win our game on Friday for us to be at least in the numer four. And of course, we play Ginebra that needs to win so that's gonna be a good battle for us kasi pangit naman papasok ka sa next round galing talo," he added.

ROS exploded on the Beermen in the latter half of the fourth quarter, scoring eight unanswered points to turn a six-point lead into a 14-point advantage.
