The Blur on TNT's unsure playoff berth: Nakakapanibago lang

Over the course of his PBA career with TNT, the Blur more or less know his team's playoff situation once the elimination round closes. That's not the case this time around.
Jayson Castro is not used to losing in the PBA.
Over the course of his PBA career with TNT, the Blur more or less know his team's playoff situation once the elimination round closes.
Sometimes he knows his team's playoff situation even before the elimination round ends.
But that has not been the case in the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup as the KaTropa have struggled to a 5-6 record at the end of the regular season.
With that mark, their playoff hopes now lie with the results of the final three games of the conference and the KaTropa could either advance outright, get eliminated outright, or they could fight for one final playoff spot.
Now exactly ideal really and not something that Castro and his team is used to.
"Kasi before pagdating ng end of elimination alam mo kung ano ka na di ba, kung ano sitwasyon mo," Castro said.
"Pero this time, parang floating, hindi mo alam. So nakakapanibago lang," he added.
While they're currently in limbo, Castro's KaTropa at least gave themselves a chance to move on to the next round, taking care of NLEX Wednesday at the MOA Arena.
TNT's 101-75 win means that the flagship MVP franchise is still alive and kicking... for now.
"At least may chance pa maka-pasok sa playoffs. Kasi yun nga, yung game kanina must-win talaga," Castro said.
"At the same time, yun nga, bigyan lang namin yung sarili namin ng chance. Kasi pwede pa naman. Sa playoffs kahit ano pwedeng mangyari di ba," he added.
