Pido and Terrence downplay shouting match: Nagkasarapan lang

Walang issue, walang issue yung team. Nagkasarapan lang," --- Globalport head coach Pido Jarencio.
After taking an early 20-point lead in its playoff game against Magnolia, Globalport simply unraveled and ended up being eliminated from the Philippine Cup following a seven-point loss.
The peak of the Batang Pier's collapse was in the third quarter, when after the Hotshots finally took the lead, head coach Pido Jarencio and star guard Terrence Romeo figured in an intense shouting match at the team's bench.
Both Jarencio and Romeo traded heated words towards each other before cooler heads within the team prevailed.
This isn't the first time a Globalport coach got into it with a Batang Pier star.
Last season, Franz Pumaren and Stanley Pringle also got into a shouting match in front of the team bench.
Jarencio downplayed this incident.
"Wala yon. Yung ugali na gusto mong manalo and then yung bata winner din, minsan nagkakaroon talaga ng mainit na diskusyon pero it's part of the game," Jarencio said.
"It's also part of the process na dini-develop yung team. Walang issue, walang issue yung team. Nagkasarapan lang," he added.
Romeo also refused to put more color to the shouting match, saying it was just two competitive personalities clashing in the heat of the moment.
Terrence insists it's all good between him and his coach.
"Siguro misunderstanding lang. Kasi alam mo naman si coach tsaka ako, pareho lang din namin gusto manalo," he said.
"Kumbaga, gusto namin pareho manalo, meron lang kaming hindi napagka-intindihan. Pero wala, off the court walang problema," Romeo added.
