Remy Martin and the Arizona State Sun Devils were eliminated by the Syracuse Orangemen in the First Four of the NCAA men's basketball tournament in Dayton, Ohio.
Martin, a Gilas #23for23 member and the PAC-12 Co-Sixth Man of the Year, logged seven rebounds and four assists, on 0/2 shooting in 19 minutes of action.
The Jim Boeheim-coached Syracuse team trailed 42-49 with about seven minutes to go following a Kodi Justice three from Arizona St., before the Orange regained their bearings and uncorked an 18-7 run to clinch the game.
Tied at 52-all, Tyus Battle swished a backbreaking three to put Syracuse ahead for good with about 1:50 left in the game.
In the waning moments of the game, Pascual Chukwu split from the line with 14.7 ticks left for a 58-56 advantage, but Sun Devil Shannon Evans missed the go-ahead triple.
Frank Howard then iced the game with two fre throws with 0.4 seconds left.
As Syracuse advances, they will face Texas Christian University on Friday.
Oshae Brissett led the Orange with 20 points, while Justice paced the Sun Devils with 14 markers.
