Javillonar saves Valenzuela in home stand

Valenzuela climbed to solo second spot after turning back visiting team Quezon City.
Valenzuela relied on the steady hands of Jeff Javillonar at the foul line as he sank five pressure-packed free throws to help the Classic protect their home court in an 84-79 win over Quezon City in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Anta Rajah Cup at the Valenzuela Astrodome.
Javillonar broke and 79-79 deadlock with 17 seconds left on a split charity. Tayongtong paced the Capitals with 22 points and 11 rebounds while Barua and Jomar Santos finished with 17 and 11 markers, respectively.
Meanwhile, ex-pro Sunday Salvacion led Navotas with 16 points, Yves Sazon had 14 markers and seven rebounds while Ron Dennison flirted with a triple double with 13 markers, eight boards and seven assists.
The Patriots slid to seventh spot with a 4-5 card.
Juneric Baloria had 19 points, Jemal Vizcarra had 18 while Daniel De Guzman got 15 markers and 11 rebounds for Paranaque.
