Kevin Alas will miss up to eight months as he deals with a torn ACL.
Unfortunately, Kevin Alas' knee injury is just as bad as that of Marc Pingris'.
According to reports, including that of Manila Bulletin's Waylon Galvez, it has been confirmed after a check up with Dr. Raul Canlas, that Alas has suffered a torn ACL in his right knee.
The Road Warriors guard is now expected to miss up to eight months as he becomes the second player from the NLEX-Magnolia semifinals series in the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup to suffer a knee injury.
Marc Pingris also suffered a torn ACL after his left knee gave out in Game 1.
Alas played less than one minute Sunday for Game 5 before his knee gave out in the opening quarter.
However, despite not returning for the game, Alas was walking on his own power as he left the Ynares Center in Antipolo following NLEX's loss.
The Road Warriors currently trail the best-of-7, 2-3, with Game 6 scheduled for Tuesday back at the Araneta Coliseum.
