"That the feeling of losing in the semifinals sucks big time and winning is very much the opposite. So we would like to pick the latter more often." --- Kiefer Ravena.
Even if they ended up losing in the semifinals, the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup has been a succcess for the NLEX Road Warriors.
Because in reality, no one actually thought they'd make it to Game 6 of the semifinals.
But now that the team knows what it's like to make to the semis and win there, expectations are going to change for the Road Warriors moving forward.
"Of course, how to take the good with the bad, how to sasalain mo naman yun kung anu yung mga bagay na... it's the first time we made it to the semifinals as a franchise and for us to prolong it to a Game 6 against a very, very historic franchise in Magnolia, it's a success for us," guard Kiefer Ravena said after the Road Warriors were eliminated Tuesday at the Big Dome.
"But we can't stay complacent, ayaw namin sabihin na okay na tayo sa ganito. Of course, from now on, you experienced how winning is in the playoffs, in the semifinals, so from now on coach said that anything less than the semifinals is a disappointment for us," he added.
While the Philippine Cup is a successs, Ravena is not going to deny that losing is not a very good thing.
He's a winner at every level and his teammates and his coach are winners as well.
The Road Warriors would like to keep winning from now on.
"That the feeling of losing in the semifinals sucks big time and winning is very much the opposite," Ravena said.
"So we would like to pick the latter more often," he added.
