June Mar's Finals motivations include revenge and PCs

June Mar Fajardo's priorities are in order for the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.

The mission is simple really and that is to win a fourth straight All-Filipino title.

That way, the Beermen make history for the third straight season. Beeracle run in 2016, Perpetual Trophy in 2017, and first team to win the Philippine Cup in fourth straight years in 2018.

More than the obvious though, Fajardo has extra motivation to want to beat Magnolia in the Finals.

First of all, it was the Purefoods franchise that gave the now four-time MVP his first real heartbreak in the PBA.

The year was 2013 and rookie Fajardo's Petron Blaze lost to San Mig in the Governors' Cup, 3-4. That series started San Mig's Grand Slam bid.

June Mar has waited long enough and now he wants some payback.

Umiyak talaga ako, nakita ng parents ko yun," he said.

Ayun prayers nga din pala para kay Ping sana mapabilis yung recovery niya," Fajardo added, making sure to mention Marc Pingris, the veteran Magnolia forward who helped stop the Kraken four five years ago.

Pingris will miss this season's Finals as he deals with a torn ACL in his left knee.

Another motivation for Fajardo is the chance to get a new personal computer.

An avid gamer, June Mar says he plans to get a new PC after he beats Magnolia. His old one was broken around five years ago.

Game 1 of the best-of-7 will be on Friday at the Big Dome.
