New name, new title for Magnolia?

Chito Victolero's re-christened Magnolia crew is in the Finals after just one conference. And the Hotshots want a new title to go with the new name.
The Purefoods franchise has gone through too many name changes it's actually hard to keep count.
However, it's almost a guarantee that every name change means a new title.
James Yap, PJ Simon, and Marc Pingris won championships as members of the Chunkee Giants. The BMEG era won a classic Commissioner's Cup Finals against Talk 'N Text six years ago.
San Mig Coffee won a Grand Slam.
Star, well not much success there but the team did end up keeping the Hotshots monicker.
Now, the re-christened Magnolia crew is in the Finals after just one conference. And the Hotshots want a new title to go with the new name.
"Yun ang history ng Purefoods eh," head coach Chito Victolero said.
"Big challenge noong simula pa lang ng conference, noong binigyan kami ng bagong name, yun ang challenge sa amin to be in the Finals. Now, nandito na kami, we will try our best na makuha ang championship," he added.
Wanting to win a championship is one thing. Actually winning the title is another.
And when you're about to challenge the mighty San Miguel Beermen, the reigning and defending three-time Philippine Cup champions, it's practically like climbing your own version of Mt. Everest.
It's difficult, but not impossible.
"I think ready naman ang mga players ko diyan," Victolero said.
"Kailangan lang namin ng almost perfect gameto beat the defending champions. Sobra din ang experience at chemistry ng SMB," he added.
